Indeed [img]smile.gif[/img] The US is not the be-all-end-all of careers. Robbie Williams, since you mentioned him Steen, has a HOT career here in Canada. And just a little trip down memory lane... Canada was the first country to take IWY to number one. And was the first to take Affirmation to number one. I think we have alot of power here [img]wink.gif[/img]

Devon - but didn't he also not too long ago buy a house in the UK? I seem to recall hearing that, was it just an exaggeration? LOL That would imply he was at least thinking about sticking around the UK [img]wink.gif[/img]

Speaking of Robbie in Canada, i saw him myself in Toronto a few years back so i confirm he's doing fine! [img]biggrin.gif[/img] His current single is in high rotation around here as far as i've seen and heard [img]smile.gif[/img]

Doesn't anyone around here realize that you can CALL a record label and demand a straight answer? Yes, they will talk to you. And I confirmed this with Sony Australia which is who Darren is signed too. He's not signed to Sony USA. They are different branches that have contracts with each other.

Sony's had major cut backs all around lately. They are not going to waste money on an artist who's not going to produce a number 1 single. I mean this in the sense of the USA. Which is the largest music market in the world. Do you assume it's a rumor simply because you don't want it to be true? Not wanting it to be true won't make it untrue. He may by some miracle release an album in the usa, but likely there will be a single released first and that single would have to go straight to number one.

Actually he only talked about moving to the UK. He's bought nothing there, hasn't even been there much. Who's gonna care for his new dog if he goes to the UK? Besides Leonie is going to marry an American, and I doubt Rob's all for moving to the UK. And we know how 'close' Darren and Leonie are.

Honestly, I'm not saying this to be critical or rude or start a fight. These are things that are so clear to me and many others. When I have a question about something, I ask. I listen. I learn. I don't make assumptions and then pretend I know everything. I don't know everything. These are just informed opinions formed from the many answers I've gotten over the past year. People talk. Everyone's got a friend somewhere that's willing to spill some info if you ask the right questions. Doesn't matter who you are. That's why all this reuniting stuff is getting such hype.

You know how much it must suck to be Darren when the APRA awards happened an old SG song won, but his new stuff didn't even though he was nominated? And to see that IKILY has been on the charts for 144 weeks and most of the songs from spin lasted less than 16? It'd be a kick in the balls for me. But hey that's just my personal opinion there.

Okay! Re Devon's insistance that DH was dropped by Sony US, here's something that's been brought to my knowledge.

Here is the official statement that was issued by Roadshow:
